Ever Notice How Your Nose Only Itches When Your Hands are Full?

So Joe wants me to post something new, and because I am sweet like that, I will. Hm, not sure what to post about though! So far I have had two poetry submissions rejected, that's taken a little wind out of my sails, only a little though.
On Friday I am getting all my getting all my hair chopped off, well, almost all of it, it's going to be really short, and it kind of scares me, but like I've been told, it will grow back! I just hope my grandma doesn't see me any time soon, she will totally freak out, she thinks my hair is pushing too short as is!
Gianna is also getting her hair cut really short, she is nervous about that as well! But I keep telling her I think it will be really cute.
I will have to post pictures after Friday, before and after pictures. But if there aren't any, then you'll know that the haircut was disastrous and I won't have any pictures taken for the next three months! Just kidding, it's not that big of a deal, if I don't like it, I'll buy a baseball cap! ;)
Right now Taylor is playing on the Wii, and the little kids are doing their school. Taylor and I finished really quickly.
I have been working on the novel I am writing, and I just finished handwriting a thirteen page scene, it took me three days! I write books, Joe writes code! LOL

Pictures of My Awesome Present

Joe emailed me some pictures of my present so that I could show it off. Just a note, if anyone steals these and sells them or claim them, I will do something so unspeakable to you, it's that bad, I can't even say it online, my mom would smack me!

Isn't it wonderful?!?! I am so lucky to have such an awesome friend.

Happy Christmas!!!

So it is the day after Christmas and I am officially exhausted. My poor mom was sick during Christmas, so I ended up making all the seasonal cookies and candy.
But it was a good Christmas, I got to have two of them. My dad had to work this Christmas, again, so we celebrated it a day early, on Christmas Eve. It was really fun, actually. Last year was kind of a bummer, celebrating it a day early and then the actual Christmas day doing nothing but sitting at home alone. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the day we celebrated Christmas, but the next day was... disappointing somehow.
But this Christmas we celebrated it with our family on Christmas Eve, then on Christmas day we had best friend Joe over, which was a blast!
For Christmas we got a Wii, which is totally out of character for my parents, but it is being much enjoyed! I beat dad a whole bunch at the boxing, but Joe beat me when we boxed. Oh well.
So the actual Christmas day we played the Wii, went sledding tied to the back of our four wheeler, I beat Joe at poker (the first time!!! Win!!)

We exchanged gifts, Tater and I got Joe a coffee pot (don't ask) and mom got him a pair of jeans he was wanting. Joe gave Tater a cool knife that the goofball promptly cut himself on.
The gift Joe got me made me nearly cry! He took a poem that I had written and used Photo shop to make a really cool picture out of it, then he framed it in a really nice frame. It's really special, and as soon as I get some I will post some pictures of it.
So it was a really great Christmas, and I will venture to say that it was the best one ever!

I have finally worked up the courage to send in some of my poetry to be published, the results are pending. Joe has confidence that my poetry is special, and I am trying to as well. It's exciting and scary and nerve racking to take a part of you like your writing and give it to the world. I can't help but be pessimistic and think that it will be torn to shreds, but I have decided to pretend like I didn't even do a crazy thing like submit my poetry and just wait for the results.
So cross your fingers and say a prayer for the poor poet!

BIGGER PUPPIES!!

I replaced the camera card for my parents and now we have more pictures of the puppies, cuter ones!!

Aren't they adorable!!!! They are mutts, but those are the best kind of dogs in my opinion!!
They are just the sweetest, fattest little sausages!

So my bangs were getting way too long, They were starting to curl with the rest of my hair, so I needed a trim, but didn't want to pay to have them done. My dad was like, "I can do them for you." I wasn't too sure at first, but after my shower today I got out the scissors and dad cut 'em for me! He did a great job, I should have known, since mom lets him cut her hair.

NOM NOM... Nommy Soup

I made this really great soup, called "Ground Beef Vegetable Soup". It is really great, I'll post the recipe here:

3/4 lb. ground beef (I used Venison)
2 cans (14 1/2 ounces each)
2 cups water
1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes (I thought the soup would have been better without the tomatoes though)
3 celery ribs
2 large carrots, sliced
2 medium onions, sliced
2 medium potatoes, peeled and chunked
2 tablespoons minced fresh tarragon or 3 teaspoons dried tarragon.
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3/4 cup macaroni

Alright, in a dutch oven cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the broth, water, tomatoes, celery, carrots, onions, potatoes, tarragon, garlic powder, parsley, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetable are tender, stirring occasionally.
Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain. Stir into soup; heat through.
8 servings.

I had Co-op today, it was fun. I had a speech to give. I couldn't think of what to speak on, so I dug out this old report I did on the basic facts of WW 2, I wrote it like four years ago, but surprisingly I won "best speaker" award. It was hilarious, when the guy who was evaluating me got up to give his evaluation, he said,
"Did we get to know the speaker better? Um... no"
  We all started cracking up.
"Did the speech have a definite opening, body and conclusion? ... No."
By now we were all laughing really hard, I had to wipe tears from my eyes and my side hurt, I guess it was the flat monotone of his voice, he didn't give any suggestions, just that one word negative, it was a hoot!
  Gotta love Speech Class!

PUPPIES!!!

So we have new puppies no! Well, not so new, it's been awhile since I have blogged! I don't have any recent pictures because I broke the camera card, (accidently!) So we only have little puppy pictures. Now their eyes are open and they are up and walking around and making a mess! They are the most adorable little things, so fat they look like little fat sausages! My favorite is the sweet little first born, her name is Pi!

You can't see them very well... oh well.

Last picture!

Are You Going to Eat That??? 0_o

So my handsome brother was getting ready to go to CAP last night, he looked so good in his BDU's! Here's a picture
Doesn't he look great? He complained that that was a terrible salute, but *shrug* oh well!
When he got home he had some Burger King with him, I snatched his fries, which he informed me were actually Mr. Kogut's. Since Mr. Kogut hasn't called about his fries yet I'm assuming that I won't have any dire consequences to face!
But Tater had a lovely burger that he was enjoying, well he was...

Until Pumpkin noticed that he had a food item in his hand! It's funny, whenever she sees someone with food she will snort like a piggy and lick her lips and look at you with big brown eyes. Then Tommy Pickles, our other dog, noticed what was going down:

He joined in on the shameless begging. Now, Pumpkin has these big, pretty eyes, and she knows how to use them! Look at that! How could you say no?

So Taylor gave her his last bite or so, I think she swallowed it whole! It must be all those Pumpkin puppies she has baking that's making her so hungry! I am so going crazy waiting for those puppies! Last night I had a dream that she had her pups, and when I woke up this morning I rushed to check on her, sure the dream had been prophetic! Alas... no puppies!
