My First Post With a Useless Bit of Poetry

I decided that since I promised a blog with poetry I should keep my word. the question is, which poem to put down? I have so many, sappy ones, inspiring ones, ah! I know, I'll put down one of my favorites!

The Night-Time Song
When clouds darken,
Scud low across the sky,
When night-owls hearken
To the shadows that silently,
Solemnly slip and dance about;
Night-Time sings to me.

The constant frogs
Serenade me in their bass,
And crickets in their cozy logs
Fiddle sweetly to me.
The cool breeze, like dew on my lips,
Gently caresses the nearby tree

Stars begin to twinkle; dim
At first, but shining bravely on.
I sigh unbidden, at the thought of him,
But succumb to the spell
Of song, shadow, and starlight,
As night-time slowly, sweetly fell.

Personally that is one of my favorites. I had just come home from a peaceful horse ride, the sun had just set and the sky was a dark blue gray bruise color with a hint of flame and pink on the horizon leftover from the sun. All the birds and bugs were singing goodnight, and everything was so peaceful, I had just started shivering from the chill, it was just beautiful.
Poetry is my way of saying something I don't know how to say otherwise, I'm not good at communicating my thoughts unless it is on paper, so I guess that's why I write.

By the way, Taylor's a dirtbag for doing that to his BDU's, in a real branch of the military, he'd be cleaning latrines with his tongue for the rest of his career for that one.

As for the cover, eh, not that bad.

Where did he get a cover anyway? I didn't think they had them in supply...
